Shannon Harris, PT, MPT

Co-Founder / Physical Therapist / Creator of The Bowstring Method® of Manual Therapy

Shannon Harris, PT, MPT is co-founder of Body Reform® Physical Therapy, a cash- based practice in Beverly Hills, California, established in 2005. Shannon is an innovative physical therapist, clinical instructor, and creator of The Bowstring Method® of manual therapy. This therapeutic bodywork is designed to be uniquely effective for clients and ergonomically safe for therapists.

Shannon authored The Bowstring Method® Instructional Guide and Video Series, which features in-depth instruction for over 100 original techniques. His work highlights current research and pain science and was developed using knowledge gained through tens of thousands of hour-long treatment sessions and advanced specialty training in orthopedics.

Treatments with The Bowstring Method® create consistent tone, improve bony positioning, and enhance function within individual muscles, throughout muscle groups, and between related regions of the body. Shannon’s system of manual therapy is proving to be groundbreaking, enabling rapid improvement of the body’s resilience by eliminating accumulated restrictions that limit physical potential.

Mary Perkins Harris, MA, CAFS

Co-Founder/ Movement Therapist and Functional Trainer

Mary Perkins Harris, MA, CAFS, is co-founder of Body Reform and the creator of its signature workout program, Core Reform Pilates Fusion. She is Certified in Applied Functional Science, a Posture and Movement Therapist, and a Certified Advanced STOTT PILATES® Instructor. She is also a certified in TRX Suspension Training, ViPR, Tri-Yoga, and rehabilitative programming.  Additional experience includes three years in a modern dance company and competitive collegiate cheerleading. As an ongoing student of various forms of “functional training,” Mary can draw on multiple disciplines to keep her programs fresh, unique, and effective, whether she is working with athletes, rehab clients, or those who are someone in between.

Mary spearheads the care team for patients with joint hypermobility issues, such as those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD). She is a long-term student of these conditions and has taken multiple courses from leaders in the field. She also manages her own hypermobility issues, giving her a unique understanding of the complexities of clients with connective tissue disorders.

Nate Edwards, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy/ The Bowstring Method® Manual Physical Therapist & Instructor/ CMLDT

Nate Edwards, DPT, is a Southern California native who loves treating and educating his clients to become experts of their own bodies. He is extensively trained in manual therapy and is certified in The Bowstring Method®. 

Nate is also certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage (MLD), a gentle technique that improves post-surgical outcomes and overall health. He’s also very effective in treating dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). In addition to being a talented bodyworker,  Nate utilizes functional exercises to get his clients moving effectively and efficiently.

Beyond physical therapy, Nate enjoys surfing, rock climbing, cycling and is a self proclaimed mobility and anatomy nerd.

Nate earned a BS in sports medicine from Pepperdine University, and a Doctor of physical therapy degree from Boston University.

Other certifications include Tai Chi for Rehab specialist, Instrument Assisted Manual Therapy Specialist,  and Ergonomics Assessment Specialist.

Derrick Robinson, CPT, CMT

The Bowstring Method® Manual Therapist & Instructor, Certified Personal Trainer, HMS

Derrick Robinson, CPT, CMT is a fully-certified bodyworker in The Bowstring Method® and Certified Personal Trainer who loves to help his clients out of pain and get back to their life! His unique background allows him to get a full picture of his clients and combine manual therapy and movement training with each client specifically toward his or her needs or preferences.

He is a Bowstring Method® Manual Therapist & Instructor, certified in the manual therapy system for non-medical professionals created by Physical Therapist Shannon Harris. He has also earned certifications as an Integrated Manual Therapist (IMT), Human Movement Specialist (HMS), and a Personal Trainer through the Brookbush Institute.

His years of experience and lifetime spent in athletics have built depth and context to his treatments to get you out of pain, moving correctly, and back to life!

When he is not in the office you can find Derrick enjoying the beach, practicing martial arts, and cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Grace Yi

BA, Operations Manager

Grace Yi is our Operations Manager. She’s responsible for a wide range of duties that keep our office running smoothly, but creating a warm and healing environment for our patients is one of her passions. Whatever the task, Grace will orchestrate multiple moving parts with elegance and a smile.

Alex Czubakowski, D.C.

The Bowstring Method® Manual Therapist, Chiropractor

Alex Czubakowski, D.C., is a rare chiropractor who believes adjustments are to be done sparingly, and only after manual therapy prepares the body.  In his 16-years of experience, this combination has successfully treated a broad range of structural and functional conditions, whether they be from lifestyle injuries or through sport. He’s a certified Therapist in The Bowstring Method®, a systematic manual therapy approach for medical professionals created by Shannon Harris, MPT.

Alex graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College. While attending, he also taught courses in anatomy and the central nervous system. Post-graduate certifications include: Manipulation under Anesthesia, Acceleration/Deceleration Injury Specialist, and Qualified Medical Evaluator.  Alex has personal experience with the power of rehabilitation as well.  After receiving serious injuries while playing football at the University of Iowa, his tough recovery inspired him to become a therapist to help others.

Drew Dunlap, CMT

Certified Massage Therapist

Drew Dunlap, CMT is a Certified Massage Therapist who incorporates techniques in deep tissue, Swedish massage, reflexology, and shiatsu. He also practices lymphatic drainage massage and incorporates the Bowstring Method® into his work. Drew was certified in 2002, and his artful approach to massage has continued to develop ever since.

Drew has worked in New York City, Costa Rica, and Los Angeles, including several years at the highly respected Bliss Spa. His talent won him the title “Best of the Best” by Allure magazine.
